The exquisite jewelry designs featured are created by using dichroic glass; one of the most beautiful materials being used by glass artists today. This amazing material is actually a coating that was developed by the laser industry for use in optical filters. It is manufactured by vaporizing ultra-pure crystals of metallic oxides and layering them onto sheets of glass in a vacuum chamber. Certain dichroic colors require the layering of as many 49 ultra-thin coats to produce the desired result.

We use dichroic glass in a variety of ways to add brilliance and depth to our unique designs. The process of creating a piece of warm glass art is labor intensive; the result of skilled design followed by the lengthy process of kiln fusing.

Fusing takes place in specially designed glass kilns where the glass is heated to between 1400 and 1600 degrees F. and then cooled by a controlled process known as annealing. We then further refine the glass by using a number of different cutting and grinding tools after which the glass is refired in a process referred to fire-polishing, after which the glass is annealed again.

The designs you see here are original, one of a kind works of glass art created individually and hand-finished using precious metals, glass beads and Swarovski crystals.

The brilliance of dichroic glass with the radiant depth and color shifts are the hallmarks of this remarkable art glass. We welcome you to experience the expert craftsmanship and exquisite beauty of these fabulous creations for yourself.
